Cardboard Androids

2013

Cardboard Androids is a robotics, mechanics and video workshop for children of all ages.

Taking place at the Canadian Center for Architecture, this workshop had participants produce a small mechanical structures that were put in motion with the help of servomotors and micro-controllers. These little automatons were then taken to another room, where they were filmed and virtually stitched in order to produce a giant virtual being that reacted to balls thrown at it. This workshop aimed at introducing some of the technical elements that are part of Projet EVA’s art practice.
